This double LP is a great companion to the Studio One Story documentary. The pressing sounds warm and clean, and the track list covers a lot of ground: Sugar Minott, Ken Boothe, Marcia Griffiths, Jackie Mittoo, the Skatalites, King Stitt, plus a Coxsone Dodd cut. It works well as an introduction to the label or as a solid listening session for anyone already into reggae. The deluxe edition feels nicely put together. Only note: it is a soundtrack, so it is a sampler rather than a full album by one artist.
