These optional rear panels provide extra depth and even better ventilation than our standard rear panels. All rear panels are easily removable with thumb-nuts for quick components access. Constructed of heavy-weight black powder-coated steel with ventilation louvers these rears provide and extra 3.5 inches of inside cabinet depth for larger components and hefty interconnects.

I picked up this Salamander Designs Synergy 40" Extended Rear Vent Panel to fit a deeper receiver and some bulky interconnects in my Synergy rack, and it does exactly what it promises. The extra 3.5 inches of interior depth made cable management much easier, and the ventilation louvers keep air moving behind the gear. The thumb-nuts mean I can pull the panel off quickly when I need to reach the back of a component. Heavy powder-coated steel feels solid. Only note: it adds depth to the cabinet, so check your space first. Works alongside the standard rear panels as described.
