Limited 180gm roze gekleurde vinyl LP-persing. Children of the Future is het debuutalbum van Steve Miller Band, uitgebracht in 1968 door Capitol Records. Het album werd geproduceerd door de bekende Britse platenproducent/engineer Glyn Johns. De stijl is een mix van blues en psychedelische rock die de sfeer van de Britse bluesrevival weerspiegelt, niet verrassend gezien het feit dat het album in Londen is opgenomen (in Olympic Studios).

Picked this up as my first Steve Miller Band record and it does not disappoint. The pink 180 gram vinyl feels solid and plays quietly, with the blues and psychedelic mix coming through warm and full. Glyn Johns' production really shows in the London-recorded sessions. It's a strong debut from 1968 and a nice piece for anyone into late-sixties blues rock. Only note: it is a limited colored pressing, so grab one if you see it.
