Beer City가 또 하나의 클래식한 80년대 초반 하드코어/펑크 재발매를 선보입니다! 이번에는 일리노이주 Dekalb 출신으로 83-85년에 활동한 1세대 하드코어/펑크 밴드 Ring 13입니다. 이번 릴리스에는 오리지널 Nothing New Nothing Learned 풀 렝스(사상 최초 바이닐)가 완전 복원 및 리마스터되어 수록됩니다. 물론 밴드의 새로운 라이너 노트와 가사, 사진도 포함됩니다. 재미는 여기서 끝나지 않습니다. 2007년 Ring 13은 고향에서 열리는 페스티벌에 초대받았습니다. 그래서 다시 뭉쳐 페스티벌에서 연주하고 활동을 이어갔습니다. 그러다 2013년 스튜디오로 돌아가 Rub the Lamp라는 릴리스를 위해 다섯 곡의 신곡을 녹음했는데, 지금까지 세상에 나오지 않았습니다. 이번에는 밴드가 훨씬 더 'left of the dial'한 접근을 취해 80년대 left of the dial 신에 큰 영향을 미쳤을 다섯 곡의 정말 좋고 캐치하고 멜로디컬한 곡을 만들어냈습니다. 이 곡들을 위한 가사, 라이너, 사진이 담긴 특별 인서트도 포함됩니다. 요컨대 19곡의 곡이 여러분을 깜짝 놀라게 할 것이며, 1세대 80년대 초반 하드코어/펑크 역사의 확실한 일부입니다!

This reissue is a real treat for anyone into early '80s hardcore. The original Nothing New Nothing Learned finally gets a proper vinyl pressing, restored and remastered, and it sounds solid. The liner notes, lyrics, and photos add a lot of context. Even better, the five tracks from Rub the Lamp are included here for the first time, and they lean more melodic while still fitting the era. Nineteen songs total, well packaged, and a nice piece of Dekalb punk history for fans of the genre.
