Picked up Tub Of Lard on vinyl and it does not let up. Eye Flys bring members of Full of Hell, Backslider and Triac together for ten tracks of steel-barbed riffs and off-kilter rhythms. Tracks like Guillotine and Predator and Prey hit hard, but there is real subtlety in how lean the arrangements stay. Coming off their Context EP, this debut full-length pushes that same ruthlessness into maximum impact. Ten songs, no filler. Good pick for anyone into heavy, no-nonsense noise rock on wax.
